Our Steps in Building Your ADU

Discovery & Design Meeting

Meet us on-site to share your vision, budget, and property details with our team. We'll help you explore how your ADU can support your goals - whether that's rental income, multigenerational living, or creating a private quest space


Step-1 Feasibility, Concept Design with 3D Renderings & Budget

Contact Us for a Free Feasibility, 3D Design concept rendering and Budget estimate for your project. Design Consultation includes: Feasibility Study for your Town - size and ADU configurations, 3D Concept Rendering (up to 2 revisions are included within the free consultation) and Budget estimate


Step-2 Site Survey & Engineering

We can work with your engineer or, for a fee- we can perform all the following services in which are needed by your town building, zoning, and health departments specific to your site conditions. Property Reports includes Site surveys (boundary lines, topography) Soil/geo-technical inspections Grading/drainage plans and septic design


Step-3 Construction Drawings & Specifications

We can work with your architect, interior designer and engineer or, for a fee- we can provide these services which will combine the results from Design, Feasibility, Site Survey & Engineering which determine the final design and permit-ready documents. Homeowner is responsible for any additional charges for special zones or filings for property setbacks, and other contingencies for any unexpected local requests


Step-4 Project Proposal - Fixed Price

We will provide a comprehensive construction proposal for your project. Once proposal is accepted, we will provide a fixed-cost contract


Step-5 Permitting Management

We handle all of your town/city permit submittal needs through the approval process


Step-6 Site Work & General Conditions

Essential site preparation needed for foundation and utility services before construction can commence. Site Work Activities: Excavation and grading Foundation pad setup Utility trenching (water, sewer, power) Temporary site infrastructure (fencing, disposal, erosion control)


Step-7 Building Construction

Meet your Project Superintendent, a highly experienced professional who serves as your construction supervisor, project advocate and the guardian throughout the construction phase. Attend regular meetings with your Superintendent to continually ensure that your home plans are executed from the largest to smallest detail. Communicate openly; we want to hear all your questions and concerns so that that every revision is addressed and implemented


Step-8 C/O, Warranty and Project Close

At end of project we will provide a Certificate of Occupancy, issue homeowner warranty and formally close out the project
