1. Stand-Alone (Detached)

Detached ADU is a standalone dwelling unit built on the same property as the primary residence. These ADUs are typically constructed in the backyard or side yard and offer a separate living space with its own entrance, kitchen, and bathroom.

2. Pool House (Detached)

Pool house ADU - meets all the requirements of an ADU (full kitchen, bathroom, sleeping area) but also serve as an indoor/outdoor living space to fully enhance your "pooltime" leisure lifestyle and entertaining activities.

3. Residence Attached

Attached ADU is a secondary, self-contained residential unit that is physically connected to the primary single-family home on the same property. The most defining characteristic is that it shares at least one common wall with the main dwelling.

4. Above Garage

An Above-Garage ADU, often referred ti as a Carriage House, is a fully independent living unit built above an existing or newly constructed garage. This design maximizes space on smaller lots—while adding elevated views, natural light, and architectural charm. A nice blend of style and function!

5. Basement

Basement ADU , also commonly known as a basement apartment, in-law unit, or secondary suite, is a self-contained residential living space created within the existing basement of a single-family home. Location: It's situated entirely or primarily underground, occupying the basement level of the main dwelling.

6. Attic

Attic ADU is a self-contained residential unit created by converting existing, unused attic space within a primary single-family home into a habitable living area. Considered an "Internal Conversion" It's formed by renovating and adapting the attic level of your existing house creating an entirely new living space.
